We will commence with a short Pranayama (breathwork) practice to bring both our mind and body present on the mat. Then, starting from the foundation of the body, the feet, we will slowly work our way up through the physical body, paying particular focus to the areas of the hips and heart, supporting the body along the way with bolsters, blocks and other props as we hold the postures for three, four or five minutes duration. As the physical body softens, it’s stories will be released: it maybe in the form of a sigh, the recalling of a memory, or perhaps feeling a specific emotion, each release will be helping to put the body back at ease. Our practice will finish with two forms of meditation: Tratak (candle gazing) followed by a Za-Zen practice using a mirror - you may even find glimpses of a past life looking back at you. Please bring a notebook (Not suitable for pregnant ladies)
