Description

This 17-hour, overnight tour departs Dubai in the afternoon for a drive across the desert. Your Jeep traverses the Arabian Desert stopping for photos during an exciting dune drive. Passing a camel farm, you stop for a briefing on the ‘Ships of the Desert’ then drive towards our traditional Arabian Campsite where a spectacular sunset welcomes you with ‘Gahwa’ Arabic coffee and local dates. Experience a brief camel ride, try sand boarding and get up close then get a henna tattoo and relax with a Shisha water-pipe. Whet your appetite with a Shawarma or Falafil sandwich, both popular local snacks, before settling in to watch the evening's live entertainment. A mesmerizing Tanoura traditional folk dance is followed by an enthralling fire blower show. Take a break and enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner. Later a tantalizing belly dance performed under the starlit sky. As evening turns into night, retire to your Igloo tents and sleeping bags* for a restful sleep. Awaken refreshed from a deep slumber in time for a glorious sunrise or later to the aroma of fresh coffee and a delicious Arabian Breakfast comprising local and regional items. All too soon, it is time to return.

Important Information

• Due to safety precautions, there will be no falcon show or camel riding for all off-road safari tours from April 1. Also with immediate effect as per Dubai Municipality instructions, there will be no shisha (Arabic water pipe) offered at the camp site from March 12, 2020 until further notice.
• There will be no dancing performances and no alcohol will be served during the holy month of Ramadan
• After the regular evening desert safari, overnight guests will remain at camp and others will return to the city
• Sleeping bags and igloo tents, designed for 2 persons, are provided
• All facilities at the campsite are basic and are not comparable to hotel accommodation
• Guests visiting the UAE during the summer months (June – September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42 – 45 degrees Celsius. It is recommended that all guests take adequate precaution, especially during off-road tours and overnight stays in the desert
