With its scenic view of Dubai Creek, tropical plants and internal lakes, this golf course has been voted one of the top 100 courses in the world by Golf World. Situated near the heart of the city, the 18-hole course runs along 200 acres of land on banks of the creek. In the past, the course has hosted the PGA European Tour Desert Classic. The course has also been renovated in the recent years.
The 5th, 6th, 17th and 18th holes all sit up close to the water's edge, with one hole even being on its own island that can be accessed via a footbridge. The golf course also includes a driving range, practice facilities, a golf academy and a clubhouse shaped distinctively like a sail. The club's academy was the first of its kind in Dubai and provides packages using top of the range equipment and also has programmes for children.
