LiveAdmins was founded in 2002 in Chicago, Illinois, in response to the increasing trend of online shopping and the increased reliance on the internet by consumers to research products. With the development of the internet, particularly for commercial use, there was a growing need for companies to find a way to connect with their website visitors just as those visitors would in a classic brick-and-mortar establishment. In those days, 'chat' was technology that was in its infancy; being used primarily for casual communication. LiveAdmins adapted and utilize this technology for clients to chat live with their website visitors in order to generate profits. Thus, LiveAdmins' WebGreeter® was born and has since been providing live chat, online sales and customer service solutions.

In addition to its core product 'chat', LiveAdmins offers web design, mobile application development, CRM and enterprise management solutions.
