The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is a great place for people of all ages to visit. Located in the impressive Dubai Mall, the aquarium boasts the world's largest viewing panel, as recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records. At the aquarium, you can spend time seeing and learning about some of the world's most fascinating underwater creatures in world-class facilities.
The aquarium's tank is filled with 10 million litres of water and houses 140 species of aquatic animals, including over 400 sharks and rays. Indeed, the tank is home to the world's largest collection of sand tiger sharks.
For a real 'immersion' experience, wander through the 48-metre Aquatic Tunnel, where the vibrant world under the sea comes to life and swirls all around you. You may even get to see divers feeding the resident sharks and rays.
Then make your way to the Underwater Zoo, where you can learn more about different ecological zones and their inhabitants. On show are otters, penguins, crocodiles, crabs, piranhas, seahorse, eels and lionfish. On board the zoo's glass bottom boats, you can even have the chance to touch some specimens!
