Description
This tour features a scenic drive through desert landscapes to the UNESCO-listed city of Al Ain. The first stop is Qasr Al Muwaiji, the birthplace of the late Sheikh Khalifa, former UAE President. Next, visit the award-winning Al Jahili Fort, which hosts a permanent exhibition about British explorer Sir Wilfred Thesiger’s crossings of the Empty Quarter in the 1940s.
Continue to the Al Ain Oasis, where your guide explains the ancient Falaj irrigation system. Afterward, enjoy lunch before visiting the extensive Camel Market. The final stop is at the foot of Jebel Hafeet Mountain to see the natural hot springs, followed by a return drive to Dubai.
Note: Al Ain Palace is currently under refurbishment and has been replaced with a visit to Al Muwaiji Fort.
