With a strong foundation of loyal customers, Teatro has been around for fifteen years and has remained true to its motto 'Where Eastern cooking meets Western cuisine', producing three extensive menus offering food from China, Italy, Thailand and India, as well as a superb selection of sushi.
The ambiance has a required taste, for while the lighting is subdued and suitable for a romantic dinner, the popular restaurant has remained far from a well-kept secret and is often busy, requiring a table booking a couple of days in advance. However, if you desire, request a lazier dinner and you will not be hurriedly rushed through your meal. The decor is cosy, while low ceilings, a view of Dubai skyline and speedy service all add to the experience that is Teatro.
Recommended dishes include the 'melt in your mouth' seabass, Thai green chicken curry and the Tempura 'to die for' prawns. The cocktails go down a treat and the sizzling brownie for dessert is too much for some, but definitely worth a taste.
