Dubai: Burj Khalifa Sunset on an Abra
145 ReviewsHop aboard a traditional Abra and awake your senses as you gently cruise along the banks of the Dubai Canal. You'll be offered spectacular views of the city's stunning vistas.
Al Sufouh Park is located in a residential neighbourhood near the intersection of Hessa Street and Al Sufouh Road. The park is not large compared to its counterparts in other areas of Dubai, but it is sufficiently sized to accommodate children and adults out for fun at the park. In some ways, this park is also designated by the municipality as a sports recreational area, as it does offer a small football pitch, a full size basketball court, a 300 metre padded jogging track along its perimeter and a few resistance-based training equipment. Of course, these are alongside the adequately placed children's play area.
Although the park is primarily designated for playful activities, visitors are welcome to have picnics on the well-manicured lawns provided that food is pre-cooked and is disposed of appropriately. Barbequing is not permitted on the premises. The park is often vacant on weekdays making it a good little spot to exercise or have a morning jog. Given its location, this park is often frequented by nearby residents or families that are familiar with it. Its size and offerings attract families with children who are looking for a charming, manageable spot to take out the kids.
